Don't worry, I'm still here! I know that it's been a while since I've posted, but this week has been pretty hectic with two exams (A&P II on Monday then Optics II just this morning). I'll be on break for the next two weeks and school will start again on Jan 2; I'll try to post every now and then during the break so please do stick around for updates!

Oh and like I mentioned earlier - our annual winter formal (the "Eye Ball") is tomorrow! So watch out soon for pics!

Here at SCCO, you can get transcripts of lectures through a system called "Group Notes." How it works is that you pay a small fee (that covers the cost of the copies) then you get assigned a day or two during the quarter to tape one hour of a lecture. Then you take that recording and type out the entire lecture, verbatim, and get copies made for those who signed up for group notes. I didn't do it last quarter, but I gave it a try this quarter to quiet my doubts. And my doubts were not silenced!!! It is a real pain to get those notes typed up, and frankly I don't think I can get much out of the transcribed lectures because I am pretty confident with my note-taking ability. However, others do find it useful e.g. if they skip class or are not good note-takers. But yeah, it took me about three hours to transcribe one single hour!

Anyway, on a lighter note, winter break is almost here! The winter quarter is weird. There was one week of classes, one week for thanksgiving break, then another three weeks of classes, then another two weeks for Christmas break. So our Christmas break starts on the 16th - I can't wait!!! But (sigh) we have two exams before the break (next week on Monday and Thursday), and I expect them to be pretty hard too.

Oh and I nearly forgot - on the 15th is SCCO's "Eye Ball." It's SCCO's annual winter formal - expect to see pics of that event after the 15th!!!
